Sorry to ask, my bud wants to know what would be the largest, or best all around tire for his 03 SS 103 anniversary model, maybe taller and more body, which model/ brand, he usually wears 2of them out in 1 season fo riding....thanks
The best is an opinion. I liked the Metzler's but after half the tread life of the Dunlop i went back to it for the rear but i kept the Metzler on the front and not have the best of both. I have a Metzler chart I can email you with the upgrade sizes that will work and what you need to do.
The 140 leaves me about a creditcard width at load before I'm hitting the belt with the side of the tire. I'm not sure if they upped the tire size in 03 or 04.
As for tire manufacturer?? I've never had a problem with the Dunlops, but it could be my driving style. Others hate them. Avvon, Michilen, and Metzler are all proven brands as well.
