I installed HD Low Profile shocks part# 54648-00a $349.00 on the rear and used Arlen Ness Dampers on the front. Lowered it 1.5 inches on the back and 1.75 in the front, which basically leveled it out. My wife rides with me 99% of the time and the ride is just fine. I have bottomed it out in the front a coupla times, but that was becasue of some outragously high speed bump etc. I just used heavy duty shock oil in the front. The good thing about the shocks is that they are adjustable and if your going on a long trip you can adjust them out to make the ride higher in the back, plus they are chrome and look good. For less than $450.00 and a little of your time you can lower it yourself. I am very pleased with it and it looks great.

It wasn't that hard to do and you can do it in a day. The front was a little tricky, but if you have a plan its not that hard. Its just time consuming taking everything apart. Lowering the front also made the reach more comfortable for me.

I went the same route TM did. The only problem that I have noticed is if we're two up, I will drag the floorboards on turns. I just compensate by just taking it a little easier when she's on the back. Either way it makes so much of a difference on the looks of the bike when it's lowered.

what's up buddy ? did you ever get the legends kit installed ? lets see some pics of the install.
ORIGINAL: FatBoy2five0

I am in the process of putting a Legends Air Ride Suspension on my Fatboy now, started to put the Progressive Air Tail Suspension on but they were backordered for at least a month , so I just bit the bullet and went with the Legend, should be here next week will post pics of the build if anyone is interested, let me know, I first used the White Brothers lowering studs for the stock shocks, the look was great but the ride sucked ,very easy to bottom out especially with my 100 lb wife with me, this should cure the look and ride.
