I thought i was getting bad milage as well but i never watched it like a hawk. I have an 07 Heritage Classic.I filled her up with 93, set the speedo and made it to 180 miles before i needed to fill. By the reciept i had about a half gallon left before i stopped. Itreally doesdepend on how hard you ride cause i have definatly had to stop 40 or 50 miles short of that mark.

Just got my bike back a few weeks ago from the 20K service and I ran 30mpg on my last tank and I thought that was horrible. Bike runs great, stage 1, VH big shots, and a power commander. Thought that after the dealer had it I would get better milage. Will probably wait until I come back from Canada in a couple of weeks and see what I get on that trip before going back to HD.
I ride in all types of weather including weather in the low 30's, and get MPG between 30 and 40. Low 30's MPG in the cold weather and while driving in downtown Chicago, 35-41 MPG on the highway. This is with Arlen Ness Big Sucker air cleaner, Santee 50 Caliber pipes, and a Power Commander.
06 Electra Glide Classic 38 City 49 hiway, 11800 miles. 08 rocker c 37 City, no hiway as of yet. 1100 miles on it. Both engines are completely stock. Electra has SE II slip ons. Compared to the truck (13-15mpg,the bikes mileage is awesome.)
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved bodyâbut rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, âWow, what a ride!â
I get about 38mpg on surface street riding and high 40s on the roadtrips I have done which were 65 - 75mph riding. Bike has no perf mods. I used to havea Vstar 650 and the mileage is about the same. I just had the 1K service andam running Amsoil MCV in all three holes now. i do not expect themileage to change though.
08 fatboy, V/H big Radius, fuel pack,Big sucker air cleaner and get about 40 MPG on open highway.
Of course that is using 6th gear and an even throttle.
Life is Hard. It's even harder when you are stupid!!!!
I've only checked my mileage twice since I only have 1500 miles on 08 Heritage, when running the checks I was on theInterstate in 6th gear most of the time. First check was 39.8 mpg, second was 41.6 mpg.I hope as engine gets broken inI pick up a couple more mpgs.
