Default Rocker Questions?

rocker guys,

are the handle bars moveable? i know they are individual bars, can they be rotated in the risers? when i test rode one the bars were pretty low, i like them up higher (rotated forward). if not, looks like i will be getting the drag bars until i can find something else

do any of you have the siren with the security? if so, did you install it? was it hard? the dealer where my bike is coming from says that is much harder to install on the rocker than any other softail. they want to charge 2 hr labor!! I am pretty mechanically inclined and figure I could do this myself.

any thoughts?

thanks

I have done both to my Rocker C. The handle bars do rotate in the risers. Just loosen 4 mounting bolts.

I also installed a siren. I went the Radio Shack route for $6. Not many features, but makes noise. There is a previous post that shows step-by-step how to install on a Night Train. Everthing is the same except I removed the rear fender to make access easier. Just remove the 4 bolts, really easy. Then remove the plastic cover ( 3 allen screws). Everything else looks just like the pictures in the post. I am not sure, but the HD siren is probably a plug in. Total time 45 minutes tops.

kylant, i had mine off the bike and wished i had moved them. they are coming back off next weekend to relocate turn sigs and i will move them at that time. there is 2 dimple marks on both bars that you should be able to see if you look in between the crack of the upper and lower mounting brackets, if you are going to move them upward like me, i am going to measure up from these marks and make new dimple marks to align so the bars will be exactly the same, but it shouldnt be that big of a deal

Haven't messed with my handle bars, but did install the H-D Siren and Turbo3pt3 is right, the whole install should be less then an hour. Recommend you do it your self and save a buck.
After removing the rear fender and plastic cover you'll see a plug with nothing attached in the upper right hand corner. Thisplug plugs into theH-D Siren and the siren snaps into the holder that H-D has provided on the right side.

You said not many features. What other features could it do? Please explain.

It is just that there is no pager or remote arm or disarm features. It worksjust as the flashing turnsignals do, by proxcimity to the key fob.
