Thinking about a tinted windvest to help deflect bugs , wind is no issue ! Any ideas as to which height would better suit me , I'm 5' 11" tall , bike has stok seat / bars .
Dan, No idea if this helps you at all, but I have a HD compact, low profile which is 15" (from headlight opening). It's several inches below my line of sight. I'm 5'7" , Mustang seat, pull back bars.
I'd like to bring some life back into this thread as I'm also considering a Windvest for my Deuce. I'd like to go as minimal as possible which means 14", so who has a 14" Windvest on their FX softail and how is it working for you? Is the 14" just wishful thinking and do I really need the 16" tall version?
i run a 16" H-D deuce windsheild on long trips and cold weather, im also 6'3" and it deflects the wind up and over my head. I'm guessing if you're shorter, a 14" will work just fine. I gotta say though, i hate the look of a windshield on a deuce.. it just doesn't belong, but its totally worth it on long trips.
