Just got back from the dealer and heard some buzz about the 05 bikes. I've only heard this info from one dealer so.... if anyone else can confirm that would be great.
One, if you have a stage 1 kit (air filter) and it's blue.... take your bike in to get a free air filter replacement. Seems the blue filters are coming apart. I verified this with my bike and two other buddies bikes. The filter is only 2000 miles old. If you want to verify..take yours off and hold it up to a light. You may see little areas "thinner" than others. Guess where that missing stuff went??? Down your intake. It's eating itself from the inside...
Two and this is a biggie....
After I fowled as spark plug on this new bike I began to wonder...hummm that looks like oil deposits. Later on new plugs my buddy said..humm that looks like smoke in your exhaust right after you start up. Get this... dealer tells me that all 05 bikes have a value guide seal issue (or something) and that it requires them to remove the heads to fix. Well there is already a line building... might want to get yours in there.
Again, if anyone can confirm this elsewhere..lets get the word out. If I had not gone to the dealer with these specific problems I never would have known...
