Well, of course I'm going to tell you I love mine!! The style and look of it were a perfect match for my personality. Ride wise the stock badlander seat is good for about 50 miles after that it's pretty stiff. I put a saddlemans gel seat on, and a removable sissybar/luggage rack for the wife and we can ride all day without being really worn. I'm shaped kinda like a gorilla (long arms and legs with a short torso) it makes the fit good for me, with the forward controls I can pretty well stretch my legs to a comfortable position, and my arms reach the bars with out really reaching. I know a few peple that feel like they have to reach forward and it makes their shoulders tired. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions, I think a Strretglide would be my choice for a second bike, something for those long rode trips with a few more creature comforts.

I have a 2002 Night Train and they ride like any of the other softtails. I customized my bike to suit my taste as I am sure you will do with yours. I did not like the drag bars and one of my customizations was to put on ape hangers.
I like the wrinkle black finish a lot and although the night trains are growing in popularity, I can still find mine pretty easily in a parking lot. The anti-chrome!!! [8D]

I find mine very easy to ride, although like mentioned, after taking it for a long ride, I realized the seat had to go. I replaced it with a Mustang solo seat, but have a pillion seat and detachable backrest for the wife. I am concidering replacing the drag bars, as they tend to aggrivate an old shoulder injury on long rides. But the drag bars seem to give a great feel of control when riding. (Using the push right to turn left approach)

The ride is great when you get it the way you want it. After the lowering, seat change forward controls or even bars like I did. Or, you could just leave it the way HD intended it and it still rides great! Love the blacked out look and the lean lines... Night Train all the way!!!! [8D]

I love my train. My dad took it on a short road trip one day and was suprised how comfortable it was with the drag bars, this is coming from a guy who has a 04 Fatboy. I usually leave my Badlander on for solo or in town riding. When the woman is with me I change it out for the Sundowner and the detachable sissy bar with backrest. I've had it up to Colorado quite a few times and it is a very comfortable ride.
