When I ride my Streetglide within 15 minutes my mid back muscles get sore like they are weak. Am I doing something wrong? Should I maybe lower the handle bars? It doesn't seem like I am stretching. The longer I ride the more sore they get. It's the long muscles on each side of the spine that run from the bottom of shoulder blades. Surely someone has experienced this.
Thanks in advance
What kind of bars have you got now? My street bob came with mini-apes and my mid back just killed me after 20 mins of riding. I put on a 4" riser and problem solved. My hands are at shoulder height now and I can easily ride all day and night now.
Subscribed. Higher hand position is what helped me, same bike. Changed seat and bars, now it's much better. Not perfect as far as the seat goes, but love my 10" MBB's
Sounds like what my back felt like, but fortunately it took longer than 15 minutes to be sore. I went with 10" PYO monkey bars, and that problem pretty much went away.
I wouldn't think you should be getting sore that fast. But everyone's different though.
get a rider backrest, general rule is lower back=backrest, between the shoulders=bars. FUNNY THE BIKE IN YOUR SIG HAS APES?
I am certainly no expert on anything but my back, but my back muscles always hurt without a back rest. I think it is posture; the back rest keeps my lower back straighter leading to less strain. Of course, it supports my lower back too, so that may be the reason.
I agree with above post about lower back problems being solved with the back rest, at least for me.
