Thanks for the suggestions. My grips are about shoulder width high or slightly higher. I am 155 pounds, 5' 10 and in pretty fair shape for 60 years old. I have been riding 10 years. This is my third bike and just started hurting in last few months so something has definitely changed. I will get a back rest for sure. Should I set the backrest in high or low position.

Set the Height of the Backrest which it most comfortable for You. Also, I recommend the Adjustable one so You can change positions while riding.
Mustang Day Tripper with back rest is the ticket with the pull back touring bars. I ride with 1 hand most of the time now. I know thats crazy but I do, it's like sitting in a recliner with your legs strecthed on the hwy bars.
