I have an 06 Heritage Classic and the passing lamps are not working.
The switch on the forks is turned on.
I have not checked the fuse yet but are there other electrical components on the same circuit that would not be working also if the fuse was blown?
Any other ideason whatit might be?
Thanks
Thanks for the responses.
Checked to make sure the brights are off and the switch is on.
Checked the fuseand it'sok.
I wish it would have been as easy as that!
Made an appointment with the dealer. It's still on warranty.
Check to be sure it not just the bulbs. I had both of my spots go out within a 100 miles of each other and then went thru 2 more in less than a 1000 miles, since then I have about 4000 miles on the present bulbs.
Also check the plug ins to the toggle switch. It has been very dusty in our area and mine had some dirt inside the plugs ins. I blew them out and also cleaned them. Mine are now working and back to normal. Also the plug ins may have come unplugged. Should be an easy check for you.
same problem.the sealed beams are sourced from asia and are crappy quality.after many warranty claimsI eventually replaced the entire unit with ones that were not sealed so i could replace the crappy bulbs with decent ones - haven;t had a fail for quite a while. I was fortunate that my dealer swapped them under warranty.

One end of the lead plugs into the wiring harness at the left side of the steering head. You can see it with the handlebars turned to the right. Also you can feel the back side of the switch, or you can just unscrew the hex nut on the switch to get it off. Everything should be snug. You could also jump the switch to see if thats the problem.
