I never in the 30 years of biking considered apes or even "mini" apes, but i fell for the xbones even before i sat or rode it. I did know that the rear fender was going before she even left the show room. I now have 900+ miles and find the bars very comfortable. They were a bit foreign for the first 100 or so miles. ( considering what ive been riding for the last 15 years ) see pix below.
again, thanx all for the compliments

Why they put the stock fender on a bike like this beats me. far too pretty and almost feminine IMHO.
I'd go one step further and have something like a shortie Sportster fender to show off the 200 wheel. Bit like the front of the Bones but bigger.
I was persuaded to have S&S slip ons but they're a bit cheap and cheerful for me although they do sound good.
I think I'll go for Vance and Hines Black Big Radius at the 500 mile service and keep looking for a fender.
Anybody got any ideas for a back rest. I've got a 1000 mile trip coming up and I'm too old for that kind of trip without a rest.
