We all ride in the rain sometimes, Harley guys hate it more that most becuase of the extra cleaning required after such a ride.&nbsp\\; Heritage's are no exception and are lower than other bikes, picking up more crap and sometimes being more challenging to handle in the rain. Any tips out there for avoiding major mishaps in these situations, when do we need to worry about front wheel wash out and slippage in corners?&nbsp\\; Any stories to tell?

 

Tip number one:&nbsp\\; Check the weather radar.

 

tip #2 when it drips down your crack,&nbsp\\;don't start scratching it[:-]....

 

tip#3 when the water pools around your crotch, don't stand up to let it drain

 

Yes slow around corners especially in light rain as the oils come to the top and you will slide, kind of fun tho.

 

What's this "cleaning" of which you speak???

Watch out for the rubber railroad crossing signs, and also intersections that use the rubber laydown stripes.

I just came back fro Kamloops, Canada&nbsp\\;and the worst part of the rain is the first rain when it's been dry.&nbsp\\; All of the oil that has built up gets washed all over the road.&nbsp\\; Also the thick white crosswalks are a bitch when turning the corners., C

 

If you reckon it might rain stick a bandana in your pocket. Even a light rain stings like hell at 120 km/h.
