I'm asking in the softail thread since this is were I spend most of my time on the forums.

My bike needs a new base gasket, and since the top end is coming off I'm wondering if there's anything else that can or should be done for a reasonable price to give me a stronger powerplant.

Anybody with an older Fatboy, or any softail, \\;\\\\\\;been down this road and have \\;\\\\\\;some suggestions? \\; It's got Python3's and an S&\\;S Super E with no \\;engine mods that I know of. \\;
#1 upgrade port your heads. if you are doing the work yourself you can keep it cheap. $200-$250 bored to 95/175 high comp cast pistons/139 adj pushrods/600-720 bigger cams(gear driven)/then all gaskets and misc. work can be done in one day.
Good luck
