my point exactly, why spend the extra money. spend the 99 cents and save up for the rest like i did. I got 11hp and 9lb tq when it was dyno tuned. After doing the 99 cent mod i had no heat and can touch the top of the engine after a ride. I am sure the engine was happy.

&nbsp\\;Has anyone ever done a dyno test with XIED's before and after?&nbsp\\;With AC/mufflers or without. HP/Temp, air/fuel ratio&nbsp\\;Results??

&nbsp\\;
Nightrider does not claim they increase horsepower. I doubt they would.
&nbsp\\;
I'm happy with the performance of the XIED and I'm glad I bought it from Nightriderthe owner seems to be a great guy.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
I don't have the patience to find the parts to design and build my own homemade XIED although I'm sure it is possible.

&nbsp\\;Claims from Nightrider may not have been made as to HP, but I was just curious if anyone had run them on a dyno. A richer fuel mix (using xied's) with AC and slip on's or just stock should show improvements. Don't you think, even if it is slight?&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;They (xied's) seem like the ticket for some.
I agree with you, It isn't worth the aggravation to find the parts and connectors to make these when for about $100. you can buy them and be done.

I see your point, and I agree.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I'd actually like to see Hot Bike or another mag test a XIED equipped stock bike against a stock TC96 for power, temp, and milage.

I have the Xieds on my stock bike.&nbsp\\; They work great.&nbsp\\; You can tell a good bit of difference with them on the bike.&nbsp\\; I feel Steve was entitled to some cash being that he came up with the idea.&nbsp\\; Just seems right to me to let someone benefit from their labor and idea.

Nightriders XIEDS may cost more than a couple of resistors, however they come with all connectors and are waterproof and very easy to install, plus I think it's important to reward someone for thier inginuity, especially when he gives our militay a discount!

Why rip nightrider off by using their engineering and instructions to build a craptastic homemade XIED when the real XIED is so nicely made and cheap?
