I'll bet you can pick up a cheap Jap cruiser for under a grand. \\; Nothing real big but big enough to do highway speeds. \\; Think of it as a throw-away. If you're set on a softail custom, you can learn on the throw-away then unload it. \\; If you buy a decent Sporty you'll spend a lot more and it won't be the bike you REALLY want. \\; Take the class and be patient. \\;
