What is the particular thing you want at idle?
Idle's on the EFI's will always be around the 900 to 1000 rpm mark. They have to be to keep the oil a pumpin.... if your thinking that changing cams will give it that old EVO sound.... ur gonna be dissapointed.

Even the big 120 build ups I have heard don't have that sound.

Thanks for the replies guys. \\; There's a lot of conflicting info out there and these comments help put some of it to bed. \\; I've heard some 96 inch bikes that sounded pretty good, but generally haven't been able to get much on the mods besides the obvious. \\; \\;All of my engine experience is with V8s and Vtwins are new to me.

Aren't the 255's suppose to be used with the 103 kit bare minimum? I think he is wanting just a bolt in cam on the 96 with the mod's he mentioned. \\;\\\\\\;
