I have had six bikes in the last 2 years (04 Sportster, 05 Delulxe, 05 Big Dog, 06 Streetglide and a 06 VRSCA). Today I just came home with a black 06 Softail Springer and had to ride it about 50 miles home. I was really expecting a ride similar to the Deluxe, but boy was I pleasantly surprised at the handling, and smoothness of the front end. The bike is absolutely DROP DEAD GORGOUS! I know it's only been a day, but I think this one will be a keeper. I think you go for the springer and the new 200 mm rear tire looks delicious with the stunning front end...do you think I like this thing or what? To answer you question as best I can with only 50 or so miles logged, DO IT! I think you will like the fact that hardly anyone has one and that's a good thing in my book. Once my friend saw it, he bought one that is do in at the end of April. If you like the looks, don't worry about the ride it is perfectly fine for most rides. Good luck on your decision.

Say what ??? No Springer for 2007, please substantiate that claim, sources etc. I did notice there was no Springer on the color list someone posted on the general chat for 2007. Also noticed No springer choice for the customizer program on HD's website, and there were very little to no pictures of the springer in new catalogs. That would be a shame if the Springer era was over (again) its a Harley symbol around the world. Although mine would go up on value, i dont want to see it end.
