Eventually it is air ride for me.
Me too. It's a lack of loot that prevents this. why couldn't I have been born rich instead of just good looking?

is lowering something that you can do yourself or should a dealer do it?

You can do it yourself you'll need a bike jack and some tools... Heads up those 3/4 bolts are a bitch... lol

Sorry for the hijack, but a quick question...is there a benefit to lowering the rear or is it only for looks?

&nbsp\\;I had the dealer lower mine a touch over an inch. (I have short legs lol) No problems and not that expensive. He used the HD kit. I left the spring setting the way it was. It seems to ride the same.

No rubbing problems and it looks much better, but the ride quality is compromised. I'm using progressive 422's and the ride is&nbsp\\;bumpier, and&nbsp\\;tougher on the lower back.

No rubbing issues. Lowered mine 2 1/2 inches. Work good for people with short legs, I did mine just for the looks. Here is the kit I used. Took me 30 minutes to install. But remember I had all of the tools and a lift and have been turning wrenches for sometime now.
