The quick detachable windshield will not come off on long rides. \\; I have one on my 08 fatty and I just got back from a 4500 mile ride. \\; Some days I rode over 800 miles and it did not budge.

Quick release has bindings that connect to the forks with no hardware behind when its not attached. Detachable has mounting hardware that stays behind when the windshield in on vacation.
