Thank Cit, \\; You got the exausts I want. \\; How do they sound. \\; Also, \\; You guys ever have any issues with the chain? \\; I just noticed today it was a chain drive. \\;
I have a Cross Bones and love the seat but my wife hates the passenger pillion, I have been planning on going to a dealer to let her sit on a custom seat, I think it will look ok on my bike but I need to make sure it will fit, both have 200 tires and the bobtail fender so I think it will, I just want something I can put on when she comes along, thanks for the reviews I might be on the right track.

The pipes sound GREAT, especially when you jump on it.
What chain? Harley hasn't used a chain on their bikes in I don't know how long unless your referring to the primary.
GymRat, Your going to have to get the sissy bar if you want to use a Custom seat on your Crossbones. Unlike the normal Harley seat the Customs attaches to the sissybar and not the hole in the fender.
+1 on the seat. \\; very comfortable and wide....plus it looks great as a one piece unit. \\; flows with the lines of the bike very well..
 \\;
for the OP. \\; I am 6'5", and the Custom fit me the best with the forward controls. \\; I did, however, have the dealer put on a Ness 3" extension for the stock controls. \\; Really let's me stretch out more. \\; Only cost about $250 with installation. \\; I was not ready to pop down $1k or more for a new set of extended controls, so the stock controls extension option worked great for me.
 \\;
You will love this bike. \\; the handling is just spectacular. \\; carves up the twisities very well. \\; You can really put the lean into this bike on the curves and never scrape the pegs. \\; I assume it's due to the forward controls, but try as a I might, I have never been able to throw sparks up!
 \\;
I have 6k miles after two months, and just can't get enough of it...enjoy!
Nice, \\;\\\\\\; I think I know what ya mean bout the controls. \\;\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\; My friends Honda did the same to me. \\;\\\\\\; My foot always got stuck. \\;\\\\\\; Im currently in Iraq so im saving some money to get some different foot controls right off the bat. \\;\\\\\\; Im also looking at exausts and Handle grips. \\;\\\\\\; How do you guys feel about a windshield for this bike. \\;\\\\\\; I thought bout getting a removable one, but I dont want to make it look ridiculous. \\;\\\\\\; Any opinions?

Try shortening the shift linkage rod that will move the shifter pig up some. Lots cheaper than new controls.

Check out Windvest. They are small but fairly good for keeping the worst of the wind off you and are detachable.
No you read it right, but that chain is burried under oil in the primary and isn't supposed to be a problem. And for the most part is isn't. All the newer Harley's (07 and up) have an auto adjuster to take care of that for you. But the jury is still out on how well or long it lasts. Time will tell.
Has anybody had any problems with the buttons on there softail custom \\;seat popping up? I have 2 of mine that have come loose from whatever was holding them in place in the seat. Kind of bugs me.
 \\;
Any suggestions on fixing it? Would a leather place be my best bet?

Thanks
