A riding buddy of mine with a 03 FXST needs a 40 k service but he cannot afford the $550 plus tax and "parts as needed" by the local HD shop. He is layed off and wants to have me do the service. I have a shop that only works on Shovels, Pans, Knucks and early model EVO's so I know what I am doing around a bike.

Does anyone have a list of what is done at this service or can point me in the right direction. I am doing the work for parts only no labor and I need some help.

Did you find the specs on the service??? If no - thanks anyway - glad someone on the Softail side of this site responded... lol

 

havent been able to find manual yet

 

get the vin # off the bike and type it in on the hd website and it will list the service intervals and a service checklist.

I had a look in my manual and it only goes up to 25000 miles.
