For good or bad reasons I have a Screaming Eagle Pro Tuner Kit... and all I want to do is load a map for my new V and H big shots on my 2008 stock HD Fat Boy. Dealer sold it "plug and play".
You'd think they'd have a simple introduction on how to get a map and upload it.
Setting up the software and drivers are a plug and play, but why can't these companies actually get someone who has never used the system to try and install based on the instructions? You'd think there'd be a little bit of QC there.
For example, you havew a choice of map but it must be with a SE air cleaner. I just want to keep mine stock until I get my K and N but there is no setting for for stock air cleaner. And then they also list the injector position. Do they assume we all know the injectors or that we have to change them. I bet soon as I go through the arduous task of checking the injector setting that it is also stock anyways.
I know the folk from HD read these forums so I want to know how the heck do they let a product go out the door without instructions?
I understand they want the dealer to get cash for service and installation but at the same time, some simple changes should be allowed. I am afraid that in the future, we'll need a HD technician to help us change gear!

 

my lap top meets all the requirements for the download, i shutdown the screensaver, turned off the power down, but after installing for awhile, i get microsfot net.framework 3.5sp1 failed. it can be loaded on my older style dell desktop, short of moving my desktop to the garage, any help out there. i have no info for tech help on the disk.
