Default primary chain

How critical is it to check primary adjustment. I have about 15,000 miles and to my knowledge it has never been adjusted. Do I need to run right to the dealer. I dont have the tools to do it my self.

I change the fluid. No problem. The adjustment is checked through the inspection cover?

Thanks very much my friend. That is probably the best explanation I have seen. I think I will do it myself.

you could also install a hydraulic one and you will not need to adjust it again... i am going to install one on my bike the next time i change my primary oil.... look around on j and p cycles&nbsp\\;site and you can probably get one for around a 100 bones if your intrested........... back under my rock........kerry&nbsp\\;

I checked mine at 10000 miles and it was still in perfect adjustment.&nbsp\\; So there is a chance that yours is still at the right adjustment level anyway.&nbsp\\;

Im at 15500 and just checked mine ,it needed to be adjusted so I did it myself , its a very simple procedure and can be done through the inspection cover. You should probably look at adjusting the clutch at the same time.
