How critical is it to check primary adjustment. I have about 15,000 miles and to my knowledge it has never been adjusted. Do I need to run right to the dealer. I dont have the tools to do it my self.

i would have it checked for sure.. they stretch a little over time. have your primary oil changed at same time. i check my primary chain every time i change the oil... just my opinion.......kerry
you could also install a hydraulic one and you will not need to adjust it again... i am going to install one on my bike the next time i change my primary oil.... look around on j and p cycles \\;site and you can probably get one for around a 100 bones if your intrested........... back under my rock........kerry \\;
I checked mine at 10000 miles and it was still in perfect adjustment. \\; So there is a chance that yours is still at the right adjustment level anyway. \\;
Im at 15500 and just checked mine ,it needed to be adjusted so I did it myself , its a very simple procedure and can be done through the inspection cover. You should probably look at adjusting the clutch at the same time.
