Default Low profile windsheild

Aloha All,

I own a 2008 Softail Deluxe. Wanted to know if any one has the Harley low profile windsheild mounted on their Deluxe. If so please share some pictures. Thinking of mounting this windsheild, but I want to see what bike would look like? I ride with couple of my friends, but they both ride road kings with full windsheilds.

I'd highly recommend, if you are going to buy a windshield, that you make sure you buy one that fits you properly. The top of the shield should come to just under your eyes or about the tip of your nose. If you don't buy the right size shield you'll probably regret it and it will be wasted cash... take it from one who knows!

I have a HD Low Profile on my Fatboy. I like it for my longer rides andfreeway. I'm 6'3" and it is level with my mouth.

Bought one of those with my Fatboy. I'm 6'2", and it caused quite a bit of buffeting for me and a whole lot more for the wife when we rode two-up. So much so that she had to tuck her head as close to me as possible.

I ended up buying a few off eBay until I got the right size and mount style. The one I'm using now is a standard height, I believe, and is actually a 95th anniversary smoked shield. I still have three from eBay, plus my original HD shield, sitting on the shelf.

Oh, and for those looking to buy one off eBay, you need to get real good photos, measurements and mount details for the one's your interested in bidding on.

As always, your mileage may vary!

It's easier to buy one that's too tall and cut it down, than it is to buy one that is too short.
