my new nite train after about 15 or 20 miles, the idle gets rough, likes its missing or going to stall at a signal? its got 1800 miles, rush slip ons, air cleaner with the download, Dealer has replaced crankcase positioning sensor, checked everything, no faulty codes,HAD THE BIKE FOR 2 WEEKS, But it is still happening, Anybody here have a clue to this problem, I am disgusted with Glendale Harley
I was going to take it to Bartels and see if they can help

Has the dealer been able to reproduce the problem? When it happens, does it clear up if you blip the throttle?

 

I have an 08 fxstc and the dealer told me there was not a download available, I don't know if that is true or not but if so maybe they gave you the wrong download. I know when I put my pipes on with the fuel pack my bike acted the same way, I had to spend the money on the Super Race Tuner. Just a thought And good luck

 

It sounds like it may be going into parade mode due to heat?

 

Take to an indy and get it Dynod and custom mapped. My local indy does it for $175.

 

its possable its going into phase 1 of the heat managment system. "stop lights etc." theres no code that pop on that..

do you have a temp thermometer dipstick? ill put $20.00 bucks thats it.

Bartels Harley Davidson in Marina Del Rey Fix the Problem which was a bad SPARK PLUG WIRE!!!! Kirk at Bartels is awesome, stay away from Glendale service dept. thanks mike

 

Something that simple/basic and the HD Tech at the 1st dealer you went to didn't realize it...scary.
