Default Cross bones seat alternatives?

I really like the look of the Cross Bones but being 5'6 the bike sets up too high b/c the seat has the springs. Anyone have a suggestion for an alternate seat to buy? Pictures would be great! Thank ya!

I've been to a couple dealers that put the standard softtail seat(non-spring) on the bike. Like a sundowner. Not much else you can do but slam the bike 1 to 2 inches to see if that helps. I know thats probably not what you wanted to hear. Good luck.

Cola, there are a couple guys on here that have the standard softail seats you can get. Some people have also bought the lower spring sets from out fits like J&P cycles that lower the seat down an inch or two. Don't let the high postion discourge you though, the bike is awesome.

Softail custom seat fits and looks good. I'm 5'6" and my buddy put one on his 08. I sit flat footed with the custom seat. You do have to put on the sissy bar for the custom seat since its a king and queen style.

You might try a Heritage front section or a Deluxe front section. Both are fairly wide and looks good. I'm just about your height Cola Harley, and my Heritage stock seat fits very well.

I'm running a Mammoth Sloth... It has lowered the point of contact by a few inches...
I'm also going to have it lowered ..

for reference my wife is 5'4" and she is on the ***** of her feet....the exhaust also gets in her way....
Darn it I guess she cant ride my bike!

Thanks guys for all the info! I've made up my mind......gotta have this bike. Think I'll try the 2" springs. As it is right now when I sit on one I'm not on my tip toes but the front ball of my foot. I think the springs would be enough for me to be flat footed. BTW, what is a mammoth sloth? Link/pic?

2" springs are a great idea. I've had mine for a few months now. Also, check out a smaller bobber seat. It'll put you MUCH lower. Here's my bones with a LaRosa Saddle from "Panhandle Choppers" on Ebay..
