Went to a buddys house, got off and the kickstand sank and bike fell over. It was on gravel so it scracthed everything it touched. Ordered some new parts allready. Please tell me this has happened to others. I feel like such an idiot.
Never did it until I rad a post on here about someone leaning the bike on the stand and forgetting it was up...power of suggestion maybe.
It was embarassing as two guys in a pickup were parked in front facing me!
Dinged the mirror, clutch lever, shifter bent, derrby cover scratched. All better now!

Reason: asdded some words
Damn, you guys are scaring the chit outta me..., I never dropped my sporty in 9 years and I've never dropped my softail.
Am I overdue?!?
I sure was, over 20 years without dropping a bike, then it happened backing up. My heal got caught on a piece of plywood and it lifted up when I picked my leg up. I couldn't move my leg backwards to step and down she went. No damage whatsoever. (The plywood was covering mud, so that's where the bike ended up) Dirty, but not a scratch. I got it out of the way, so I figure i'm good for a while now.
I put mine down while avoiding a guy in BMW that had no clue about the rules of merging...rode it out till it stopped...luckily I am insured and got a fat check for new parts.
