Hello all. Just got back from a trip to Niagra Falls with my wife. At the hotel I overheard a security call come in wanting to know whos motorcycles were out front (ours) because there had been a recent theft of HD cycles over the weekend. Said that 5 bikes had been stolen, that they thought it was "organized crime" to blame. Anyways, didn't sleep much the first night because I had to go check on the my bike at 3am.
Was wondering if anyone has installed an alarm sytem for their bikes. Who makes them and how much.
Thanks
Ernie
BTW: Border guards are sure interested in how many guns you own.
I have done a few alarms on Harleys and Jap bikes. I just use a DEI Viper alarm with a prox and tilt sensor and a few i did remote start. you can also get a pager with it.
Yea I got the HD alarm and pager as well. All I did was remove the fender to access to plug for the siren and programmed the pager. In all it took about a half and hour and cost about $150. I like it range for rechargeable pager is about 1/2 mile depending on conditions

+1 Easiest & cheapest install I've ever done to my bike; only if there is an existing security system though (i.e. keyfob).
HD Alarm system w/pager. Works well, makes me look like an idiot when I throw a leg over, pull her upright and the alarm screams at me! "YO DUDE, turn me off"
