Got it fixed!
Today I got the new stator in the mail from Dennis Kirk. The stator I ordered was a 38amp accell. It fit perfectly, and they shipped it really fast. Two day ups shipping plus the cost of the stator was far less than the dealer wanted for a harley part. I had to buy four stator mounting screws (.65 each) and a primary gasket ($35!!) this morning. An hour and a half after I got home with everything, the bike was running and charging again. I hope I'll make it a little farther than 11k miles with this one. It feels so much better knowing my bike is okay again. I hate it when stuff breaks!
