Default installing new grips

I am sure there is a thread about this somewhere, but I was unable to find it. I have purchased some new grips and wondering how hard they are to install. It says to see a repair manual for the throttle side. I have heard that it is easy to break a small plastic piece for the brake light. Does anyone have some instructions or pointers. Thanks for the help. Installing them on a 06 springer

You have to remove all of the old grip, the new grip is placed into the switch housing.
