This is my new front fender, painted and ready to go, still have to save up the funds for the new front wheel.

The "stripped down" version was running a 19". the solid black pic has a 16" from a FLHX. The 19 had quicker response over the 21"

I was never into a specific "model'. I bought the bike that would be the easiest to complete what I had in mind. My bike was originally a Night Train. Not because I wanted a Night Train, but because I wanted the all black engine to start with as a base..
So, don't worry about the model. EVERYTHING on a softail is interchangeable and doable.

What's an approximate idea for what it would cost to black out an engine aftermarket?

And thanks all, I see where all they can go now I'm going down to talk numbers this afternoon

Hey Mojojones, I really dunno. But I have to look into it..., I am the second owner of this bike. The original owner traded it back to the dealer, and the fender & bars we're done by him.

The late model examples of these bikes have the 200mm rear tire and they all lend themselves to be customized and limited only by the limits of your imagination. Look in the picture threads for all 3 models.........there are some beautiful examples of each.
Just want to add to this info. The Standard has a narrower frame then the Fatboy. If the letters are FX, then it is a narrow frame; FL is the wider frame. I'm not trying to be nit-picky, but if your shopping for parts this helps, so that you don't end up doing things like covering the oil dipstick with that new seat your going to put on. And trust me, you will put a new seat on....
Good luck!
