Hey if you want to do it, just do it. As a reminder, we all have our own personal creativity when it comes to designing our motorcycle. That is the reason why you always hear that not all Harley Davidsons are alike.

I had mine done. I think it looks great and very easy to keep clean and since the bike is MINE! The frame was designed to look how I want it to look.

I don't like the look of the swingarm that Harley sells since it isn't fully chromed and it is over $500. I have also been looking on ebay for chromed swingarms and it appears that there are some decent deals on them, but I am hesitant to purchase them. I would assume since my local Harley dealer is involved in the procedure that any problems that could arise would be addressed by them. Thanks in advance for any advice.
just some advice. After its chromed and on your scoot. Take your bike to the hand operated car wash and select the hot wax. Spray that on the areas that may be impossible to polish. It will give you extra protection from rust in those hard to reach areas.

its also a good idea to do new spoked wheels and hubs as well.

Go for it, I think it will look great!! Every one paints thier own image of how they want thier Harley to look. It is what we do when you go out in the garage at night a stare at her, you picture what would look good..I know with the Dyna's, the chromed out swing arm looks fantastic. I would like to get mine done. I just had the sprocket and lower done on my Dyna and would love to know how much it would be to do the swing arm. Anyone have a ball park on what it would cost to chrome a swing arm on a Wide glide??
