I agree, for as much money as we pay for a new Harley, you should always check with your dealer if something isn't right with your new bike. They need to know so they can make it right, leaking oil isn't normal.

Take it back thru the front door and park it on the showroom floor. Leaking oil on the floor might get you faster service.[8D]

I agree... take it back to the dealer.

Where is the oil coming from? Is it possible it is just overfilled? Maybe someone added the oil to the HOT like while it was cold before you took it home.

It seems to be laeking from the bottom of the oil tank, The dealer said to bring it back asap.
I also have backfiring ( V*H longshots, hi flo A/C, and the download)
Dealer said its too early to see if they need to adjust the EFI..

thanks for the help!

Where is it leaking from? It might simply be that it was overfilled with oil and it's dripping out of the overflow tube. Check the oil level first.

id run it and get it leaking as much as possible. then take it back through the front door. then id say, loudly, i know harleys are known for leaking oil but shouldnt that take a couple of years to start happening, hell this bikes brand new with only 50 miles on it. youll more than likely be put to the front of the fix it line.

I am just amazed at how many of the responders went straight for the "though the front door, loud complaint, make a scene." I am not saying that it wouldn't eventually be what it might take, but it speaks volumns to how we are getting treated at some dealers. HD should definitely take notice.

I had a great buying experience recently in Corning NY and wrote HD corp. to share it with them. I got a direct phone call back, it must have been the day they got it, because it was only like 3 days after I sent it. I have never heard anyone act more surprized by a compliment than the lady that called. She said that the stores are independently owned and that there was little if anything they could do for the surley staff, but that it was a pleasure to hear of a good experience.

Sounds like your dealer is stepping up, as they should, good luck.
