First, my bike is a commuter for work. This is the reason for adding this stuff. And I couldn't afford a Road King.
I have my hard bags, brackets and trunk. What I need now is something to block the wind during the cold weather from my legs. I want to add some of the touring lowers to an engine guard. I don't have the engine guard or the lowers. Does anyone know which engine guard I need to be able to add the lowers? Ive seen the nostalgic guard and it looks like it will work. But I don't want to have to buy one and find out it wont work.
Any help? Also I have some add-ons plexi glass type extensions for the chrome type wind guards. But I like the look of the touring lowers.
Thanks

This is the only pic I have of my bike on-line. Ill get more pix later. My bags and trunk still need to be painted, they are a dark blue and don't match my bike. I am waiting till I get all the parts that need to be painted to get it done at one time.
If blocking the wind is your issue, then the real answer is a front fairing.
They are pricey, no doubt, running from $600 to $2k, but a good one is worth the bucks and looks awesome. Mine is a convert from an old mid-70's FL but I've seen several of the aftermarket ones advertised and they are very high quality.
Get one of them, add the wind deflector lowers on the front forks, add a mustache bar with some leather covers and you have the whole thing covered.
Get a roll bag and mount it on the handlebars. For more coverage roll up a jacket and strap it on top. More storage and pretty inexpensive. http://www.tbags.com/Detail.aspx?ID=48&selectedcat=2
I have the nylon version that has straps to strap on a jacket or whatever. Works better than a windshield in my opinion and quite cost effective.
I don't mean to state the obvious bc you probably have already thought of this, but why not just get some chaps? You have the bags to keep them in already. I have a bagger and that's what I do. I just don't want to have to remove the lowers when it gets hot out, and I ride to work too, it's cold in morning, warm in afternoon. Chaps on to work, chaps off home. Just saying.
