Default Front end noise??

I have an '06 Night Train and my brother has an '06 Deuce. Both of us noticed that sometimes when we hit bumps in the road there is a banging sound somewhere in the handlebar/neck area. Anyone else have this problem?

Take it back to the dealer to have the front end tightened up. I've heard of this before on another forum I think. It was a minor problem with not preping the bike properly prior to your pick-up. It's a fairly rare occurance I think, strange how both of you have the same problem.

I have an 02 NT. I have the same noise, but I've gotten used to it. I've had the neck torqued twice at the shop and it only makes the clunk occur slightly less. Hope that helps.

Try a heavier weight oil in the front forks. That usually does the trick.........

Thanks guys, guess the dealer is a little behind the curve here. I'll try the torque first, fluid after.

Also there is a little slack in the headlight assembly which makes a clunking sound when riding over bumps.
