Default Cleaning Engine and Regulator

My new 08 Softail Custom sprang a leak on the front of the engine.

I got the leak fixed under warranty, and the dealer washed the bike, but the black and chrome engine is showing signs that there was a leak. Where the oil was spreading around on the engine it is darker there than the rest of the engine, like it is stained. Also the Voltage Regulator still has oil all over the wires. If you touch them with your fingers you get all greasy.

Do I have to remove the voltage regulator and clean it along with the engine?

Should the dealer do this or is this my responsibility? I don't want them saying I broke something and voiding he warranty.

What cleaner can I use to get the oil stains off the engine so the engine all looks the same new color it was before the leak.

I am really upset, a new bike and the engine looks a mess like it has 100,000 miles on it already.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Ride Safe

Also get some Pig Spit ( at the dealer) and spray all the black parts of the engine. It will make it look brand new again. There is also S100 engine brightener but it comes in a smaller can and costs more.

I forgot to say the clean it first wet it down with water and spray with simple green or shout! laundry stain remover. Brush with a paint brush(clean) and hose off THOROUGHLY. Do this with the bike cool. Then hit it with the blower to dry and spray with the above mentioned products. Works for me.

I use spray on brake cleaner. It doesn't leave any residue behind and hasn't done any damage to the engine paint.

I would have told the dealer to clean it, or at least get the dealer to give you a bottle or can of some type of cleaner for it.
Don't let the dealer get away with things like that.
