Check engine light/u1097
Took the bike for a short ride, to the store and back about 10 miles round trip. Red key light and check engine light came on. Got home checked all bulbs, and ran codes it showed u1097-Loss of serial data. Cleared the code. Now here is the thing that is driving me crazy.
turn the ign. switch on and the fuel pump primes, red key light and engine light go off. Start the bike and the engine light comes back on for about 4 or 5 sec then goes out. No maybe im goin out of my mind but i dont recall this doin this before. Is this normal.
Let bike run and no new codes were tripped.
