Thanks for the compliments guys, although I do agree, I wish I could take credit for them

I had a PM from a member asking some of the same questions and truthfully, I can't answer them. My nearest guess would be Wild 1 chubby 12.5" APES. All the measurements seem to indicate that.

I can't find a stock number but all the wires are inside. I just went out and took some pics. I made them pretty good size for detail so you'll have to go here to see them:

My Springer Bars

Please excuse my bugs

OK I am going to throw a monkey wrench at this one....
Have you considered Beach Bars?
They are nice and comfy and IMO really old school....

I have 8" risers from accutronix and a flanders broomstick bar. You need LONG arms for these bars. Also risers for springers are different than hydraulic front ends, and they are set apart wider.

OK bringing this back up now that I am back from travel...and home. I got the Wild1 Springer Drag bars using stock risers for now. I mounted them up and have the whole right side mounted but was just to see how it looks. I am going to run as much wiring internal while I am off work the next 2 weeks. Although it seems like just the switch housing wires can be ran internally through the bars.

Those accutronix are nice. My dress shirt sleeve length is 36/37, so I think it wouldn't be a problem.

One thing I did notice....when I took the top off of the risers, one had a spring in it and the other did not. Is that normal?

Spring in one riser is normal, I think it has something to do with a ground. My springer is same, I use 10" mini ape and very comfortable, probably cause I am 6'2" , long and lanky...

You could look into switching to dogbone risers, instead of stock. Here's a link to a set of 6" dogbones on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/6%22-...12161001r14291 A buddy of mine has these on his '01 Springer, with 18" apes.....looks sick!

I'm in the middle of installing a set of '07 Wideglide 1 1/4" mini apes on my SE Springer.
yes, the knurling is offset for a springer, but my mini tach sits between the risers and hides the exposed knurling on the wideglide bars.

my biggest issue on the SE Springer is the Hydraulic clutch reservior.
the stock 1 1/4" HD bars are tapered at the ends where the controls are, the brake reservior has clearance for the 1 1/4" bars without any problems, but the hydraulic clutch reservior has no clearance.

luckily, the '09 SE springer and SE Fatbob are using a redesigned hydraulic clutch reservior that has the same dimentions as the brake reservior.

so it's going to cost me an extra $150.00 for the new clutch reservior on top of buying new cables and lines.

the reason I'm going with the wideglide bars is because every other mini ape out there has a center width of at least 10", and that looks like crap on the narrow springer front end.
plus the wideglide bars only cost $100.00

I have Chubby drags on the stock risers and I love the look.
