Cool Me 2

Im also in the process of switching out my Springer bars....I currently have mini-apes and want to go either with 12.5" chubbys or 16"' really wish I could find a 13-14" springer ape bar, if you know of one, please post a link !!! One of those deals where 16" seems to high and 12.5" seems to low, always something.........

I've said it before but I have to say it again...BADAZZ BIKE! I want to change to drag bars like yours but I don't know about what length or where to get all my cables??? All the cables look to be a little long on the bike to begin with so if I go to drags I'll definitely have to change everything. Any advice? Thanks!

Thanks Scorched. After powdercoating, it was a basic bolt on. I used all the existing factory cables and wiring and I did not go internal. The clutch was a tad long but it works. I fabbed my own turn signal brackets to relocate the lights to the front end.

Mine has the wrong bars on it because you can see the knurling on the inside of each riser so I'm guessing they had taller bars because all the cables that are on there now are a little long and they would be way to long with the drag bars. Also....do you have any pics of the brackets you fabbed up? Thanks.

I went with 14" Nash Smart gimps and 3" risers. Super comfortable....and that's coming from the WIDE Beach Bars.
I also used the Ness top tree adapter as my standard springer options were limited due to the wider riser width.
The top tree allows you to have the narrower riser spacing, allowing you
to use bars with the narrower knurling....which offers a larger selection of choices.
If I could do it again I'd get taller risers and shorter bars......keeping the total height the same......but overall I dig my setup.

Sorry can't post a pic here.......but there's pics in my album.
Good luck

Pretty simple blade shape. Drilled three holes. One to mount the light, one for the wiring, and one to bolt onto the front end.

How about something that FEELS good to you when riding it? My Springer had pull back bars and I loved it. Much more natural than most bars, for me.

Apes, and get them tall enough that your hands are at about eye level. it seems odd to have your hands so high at first, but after riding a few minutes, it feels more natural than drag bars.
