I bought the fuel fitting cover. The only thing it did for me was to cover the peeling factory chrome on the original fitting. I guess I got something out of it.
MikeM
Headbolt bridge does fill a dark spot on the engine, but I guess it really serves no purpose.
Probably my most useless purchase was the chrome swing arm inserts. They fell off very soon, but not are attached with double stick tape and no problems since.
I bought a V&H Fuel Pak and could never get it tuned right. V&H had very sh1tty customer service. I had the bike on the dyno having it tuned and they wouldn't give the mechanic doining the tuning the map I needed. Needless to say, I ridded myself of the POS fuelpak and went to a PCIII.
I bought a cheap throttle rocker thing apparently to improve hand comfort... the thing improved hand comfort a grand total of 0%. At least it didn't cost much.
I would have to say my Arlen Ness Rad II mirrors. Sure they look cool but you cant see sh#t!
+1 on that....Also, the HD Flush Mount Fuel Cap w/LED Guage, the really cool looking twisted shifter linkeage, HD Stage II Big Bore with SE255 cams, etc. I could go on all night......I've spent WAY too much money making this thing "mine."
At the "stealers" suggestion, changed my passenger stock floorboards to CHROME floorboards AND CHROME mounts (that nobody can see) for about $500.00........
And maybe my analog temperature dip-stick thingy that works nicely, but who cares what the temp is, I know when it's HOT !!!
And then $3,000.00 for my V&H LONGSHOTS with SE A/C and SERT.............
but it DOES sound good.........
OH, and the DYNO that the stealer said I HAD TO HAVE!
Then there's the more comfortable passenger seat that I bought for my partner that NEVER rides with me......had for one week before I bough a "tall-boy" seat...... JEEEEEZ... you can really spend some money on these things.....
And not to mention several hundred dollars on clothes from the stealership....... ummmmmmm... and 4 helmets before I found one that I liked!
