I think your dealer is full of it, the frame is powder coated but I don't think the tins are. I was told by one of the techs at the dealer that the tins are painted and that the paint can be ordered to spray aftermarked parts.
The fender designs that you are looking at look good.
you can match it, what if you get in a wreck/ would you dealer order new tins if they inly needed paint? go elsewhere
I asked the same thing at the stealer. the guy told me if you got into a wreck they would order you a new fender and not re-paint the wrecked one.
I don't know man, I think they are full of crap too. I'm going tomorrow, i'm gonna see if they are willing to chop my fender and re-paint it instead of just buying a new one and I'm not leaving until i get a straight answer. who cares if my fenders don't have the flames on them, i'll worry about the tank another time.
