Well my RWD front fender just came in and its not as smooth as they advertise they are. So i brought it to the body shop to have it painted and, HOLY **** $350 to do body work and paint a small little fender!! Well ya' gotta pay to play so game on. Did I just get porked or is that what you guys are paying for paint on fenders?
i paid 300 for rear fender and splash gaurd+ body work so id say yea your in the right ball park........funny you can get a whole car painted for 250 from macco...lol...if you have them in your area
If you are just doing HD Vivid Black, check into powdercoating next time. Much cheaper and much tougher than paint which makes it great for fenders (i.e no paint chips). The gloss black is also a great match with HD Vivid Black.
Once you get the RWD Fender installed, you won't think twice about it. I had one on my train, that's a sweet fender! Watch out for the cost of the Fender Spacers --- it could get pricey. Do a search there are alternatives.
Depends what the fender looked like when you got it. I will say this, I was also very disappointed with the Heartland front fender. I originally got a fender from Debrix Cycles and although they sent me the wrong one, for $60 it needed alot less body work then the Heartland one did for $300. I did all the work myself but the Heartland would have cost me atleast that at a body shop here... I was actually wishing I would have went with the RWD fender they have on their Rocker over the one I got.
