Neither the Novello nor Namz kits come with deutsche connectors. They have the pins already on and you just plug their wire's female end on your existing wire's male end and shrink wrap. The extended wire has another male end soldered on and you just plug it back into your deutsche connectors.

Ok I think my buddy is going to help me solder the wires.

I swapped the clutch cables today. It was pretty easy except removing that retaining clip from the trans cover.

Hmmm... I don't think you need to take off any retaining clips to change the cable... But as long as you got it done.

Oh yah when you run the wires in through the bars... I use a lot of WD40 for lube they will slide through easier when you are pulling them through. Good Luck man, you will be happy when you're done!

If memory serves me correct, there is a huge retaining ring holding the ramp, etc. in place. isn't there???

Yep that retaining ring holds the 2 plates and the 3 ***** together. Here is the link from mojojones install thread:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/4073978-post5.html

I should be soldering the wires tomorrow. How critical is it to stagger the solders? These weren't staggered in the previous install. It didn't seem to be a problem.

I did the Novello kit, did not stagger the connections, and ran them inside 1" dia 13" apes. I used silicone spray. I also soldered together the pins male and female then shrink wraped them. I heard stories of the shrink wrap not holding well and wires pulling apart. I am waiting on my cables, 2 weeks now. I hate holiday shipping delays.

Check the DIY section under front ends etc... search, "High Bar Install". Everything you need to know is there. It's what I used for my install.

You are correct about the ring in there i was just saying that you didn't need to take it off to get the new clutch cable on or to take the old on off... All you have to do is turn it upside down and the pivot point will swing a little further then normal and you can get the cable off without romoving the retaining ring... I did it and no problems and alot easier.
Jus my .02 though.
