My first Harley
Well some good and bad news.. Went into the dealer today sat down and crunched some numbers. the bike i was looking at was the rocker c crimson red sun glo , they were selling for 22000 got him to knock it down to the msrp which is 19844 now the bad news since I'm young and didn't have a long enough credit history they can only give me a 12000 loan, I told him I wanted my payments to be around 370 and i was willing to put 4g down which isn't enough to cover the rest of the price need some ideas. I thought it was really good that they brought it down to the msrp maybe i can get another 1000 off but it still wouldn't be enough any suggestions?

Definately stay away from HD credit. My credit is about as good as it gets (not trying to brag so) and last year when I got my NT their "competitive" interest rate with half of MSRP down was 12%. Went to the credit union and got 5%, get a pre-approval letter before hand and slap it down when you go to the stealership, show em your serious and they'll kiss your ***.

As a last resort (after trying the suggestions above), you may consider having somebody co-sign the loan with you. I say last resort, because the only person I myself would ever consider doing it for, is my wife. I wouldn't even do it for my own brother - yes, he asked me once - but some people are more open-minded...

Don't know your financial situation but if can't get a 5% rate or less I'd think it wise to pass on getting a new bike with financing.
And I wouldn't buy a bike unless the dealer was willing to come down at least $1500 off MSRP. MSRP pricing is bs, especially in this market. But then again, I have 5-6 dealers in my area.
I know it's tough when the bug strikes and you get your eyes set on something. You want it and you want it NOW. But be patient and let the lust phase pass. And it will. Then if it's meant to be, you'll find a way. And if it's not, you're realize that also.
