Steak Dinner on the line here.... which will win?
He has bought an 08 Triumph Bonneville. Not a harley... but... at least its not a YamaHondaSaki. Anyway... soon... the smack begins.... a race is proposed.
His Triumph vs My 08 Night Train... for a steak dinner at charleys in orlando... one of the top ten steak houses in america.
Initially I am not concerned... I have done a couple of things to make the train VERY quick off the line. I regualrly dust, romp and stomp other bikes in my class... however... buddy lets it slip he is doing 105hp out of this bike. It comes stock at what? 65ish HP?
Where the hell do you come up with 40 more hp?
I mean... I have tricks up my sleeve... hell I will doubleshot nitrous his *** if need be.... but... I know Zip, Zilch, NADA about a Triumph.
Am I wrong in thinking that a moderately tweaked Night Train shouldnt have a problem dealing with his moderately tweaked Triumph? I know how to keep both wheels on the ground and get full clutch release quickly.
My guess is red light to red light I probably have him.
A mile or so... he may have me.
orlando to say.... atlanta... I win.
What say ye?
Been to Charley's in Orlando a few times. It's good. Not great. I'm a steakhose afficionado, and have been to high-dollar steakhouses across the country. My top five...
1. Gibson's-Chicago. Nothing else even comes close.
2. Morton's -Chicago.
3. Fleming's -Sarasota
4. Ruth's Chris-Sarasota
5. Shula's -Orlando
Charley's uses a kinda "flavored/smoked" gig on their steaks. And, it's kinda wasted because the steaks are so good they don't have to do this. You'll see. Oh, you'll have a great time-especially when he pays...

Merry Christmas and enjoy your steak dinner. Charlies is great. I love picking my own steak off the platter!
P.S. I've got the TMax, V&H BSS and BS S 2. I'll ride down there and spank him too if he'll buy me steak! LOL

There is a place in Flagstaff called Black Barts that has an old west saloon feel and the wait staff takes turns singing.... Im a sucker for a good meal with singing and dancing.
But in order of a damned fine meal within a reasonable drive
#1 is charleys in Tampa because they know me by name and treat me like family.... even though the effin panzies in this state made it so I cant enjoy a Cohiba at my table anymore.
#2 Del Friscos in Orlando.... try it.. I think its worth a stop
#3 Jacksons? (I think?) in Ft Lauderdale
#4 Some Damned Chop House Clone in West Palm I can drive you to but not remember the name of EVER!
#5 Charleys in Orlando
