Looking to raise the rear foot boards on a Softail Deluxe.
My parents have a 07 Softail Deluxe. My Mom is just over 5' tall and with the Harley floor (foot) boards on the bike she is having a very hard time being comfortable on the bike. She is needing the raise the floor boards about 2"-3". We went to the Harley shop but they could not find anything in their books. They found kits for every bike out there EXCEPT the Softail Deluxe, he said it had something to do with the way the stock exhaust mounts.
Does anyone know of a company that would sell a kit to raise them??? Or even sell a complete new setup that would be higher? I am hoping someone else out here has encountered this before.
I dont have rear floorboards, but the first thing I thought of was to flip the brackets over so they go up instead of down. I have no idea if it will work but its a free fix if it works.

Due to the Shotgun exhaust on the Stock Deluxe, that won't work. There is not enough space between the pipes.
The Kuryakan parts are a good way to go, about the only other options wiould involve changing the pipes.

Have you or do you know anyone that has used this setup? I am guessing that it will allow the existing floorboards to mount to the new raised mounts??? Is there anything else I would have to also get to make this work.
Check with Vance & Hines. On some of the pipes for the Deluxe you have to relocate the right side mount for the foot rest. They make a matching left side. If I am not mistaken it brings the mount up some. I have not done this but I am pretty certain I came across this on their webpage. Give em a call.
Have you checked out the set up on the Softbrake site? They have one there under the misc. Harley accessories. Don't know if this will work with floorboards or you set up by worth a look. Hope this helps...
EDIT *** Well I see that it does not fit 07 or newer Softails so no good for you sorry***

again, change the pipes to aftermarket and you have many options. (you can then mount the pegs in existing holes in the frame easily raising them a few inches)
If you are not willing to do that, the only other option is to cut down the passenger pad so the reach to the pegs is shorter when seated.
