Default UPDATED !---Started the Tear Down - 95" - CAMS

Here is a SLide Show. I added some pictures of the Cam Bearings after taking them out and the Torrington B148's installed.

Here is an update. Pulled the Cylinders and Pistons. Also removed the Cam Cover.

The outside Tensioner shows very little wear. Embarassingly I only have about 8k miles on the bike. Hopefully I'll get the Cam Plate and Cams out tomorrow and then start the Bearing replacement to Torringtons.

Here are some quick pictures. The closeups of the Tensioner are blurry, I'll post some new ones.

Started the tear down today so I can get the Heads out to Big Boyz (Bean) next week.

A little more involved then I expected but I got it done. The Throttle Body bolts were a pain is the A&& to get to and loosen and the Rear Rocker Plate was a pain as well. Also those Head Bolts are really tight, thought I was going bust one of my nuts loosening them..

Here are some pics from today's show.

I'll be swapping the CAMs out with the new Roller Chain Conversion. Andrews 37N cams

Pictures as I go...

Hello Mike,

Noticed you were following my thread on Engine build in Steps. Wondering whether you are boring your jugs, etc as well or just doing cams and heads? Good luck with the build.

I bought the HD SE 1550 Kit so I have the 95" Cylinders and Pistons already.

I hope I don't mess up. I'm taking my time and reading the manual as I go as well. So far so good.
