Detachable Bags
Have a question for anyone with some helpful input...... I have a 06 Harley Deluxe and am planning on getting a set of the lockable rigid bags for it. Anybody know of the best option to make them detachable. I like the idea of the Bare Backs, but that kinda defeats the point of lockable bags. The ghost brackets and easy brakets look good, but the plastic on the inside of the bags flare in and I'm not sure if there is enough surface for the brakets to mount. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't help ya on how to make 'em detachable...but, just wanted to warn ya those bags won't hold chit...and they leak like hell...ya gotta bag anything ya put in 'em if there's a chance of rain. I screwed up and got a set for my Deluxe 'cause the look seemed to match the bike's style so well (duh, they were designed for it hehe)...but, ended up shelvin 'em and gettin myself a set of real bags...Auburn Leather saddlebags from Chilhowee Leather. I like the ones on mine,just two little bullets on each strut,push the bag on flip the two handles in each bag and wala on all of 10 seconds and havnt had a water issue yet.......They dont hold the kitchin sink but they do hold what ya need for a few(4-5)days like gloves,hat,rain suit,leather jacket,azzless chaps,small tool kit,extra shirt,jeans,underwear,socks and a few other items for one person but if you really pack you might get enough for 2 people 2 days hehehe.....
