Default wind deflectors on heritage

hey,

i couldn't find the exact answer i was looking for using the search function.

if i spend the money on fork mounted deflectors on my '02 heritage, will that stop the wind coming up under the windshield by the gas tank and blowing in my face?

im looking for answers from anyone who uses or has used these in the past. i dont mind cold weather riding but im about tired of the air on my face from the cold. now air from above or around the side of the windshield does not bother me. i know you guys (and girls) know what im talking about so ill leave it at that.

also, i dont mind wearing a thin under the helmet cold weather mask when its really cold but im talking about even for those 45 degree mornings when the rest of my body is fine except for my face.

any pics of these on bikes would be great, too!!!

thanks in advance

i've recently been contemplating going back to a glide for this reason just to get more air protection but i think it can be solved. thanks!

Got the wind deflectors on my 08 heritage, sorry no picture available, But they do work at reducing the wind on your face and chest.

here's my '08 Fatboy with the HD wind deflectors:

I like them so much, I don't even remove them for summertime riding. when I ride with my feet on the floorboards, I get almost NO wind.... when I ride with my feet on the highway pegs, I can regulate how much wind comes up my legs by spaying my legs open for more wind or "hug" the tank for less.

for me, it was $70 well spent!

Default Can't stop all the wind but....

I have a 2003 Fatboy with Harley windshield and Harley deflectors.

It was still windy and I know this doesn't look pretty but I cut a small strip of foam rubber and put in between the top of the deflector and the bottom of the shield. Its crude but effective. Price is right also. Soon as the weather clears, just take them out.

I cut a piece of foam rubber about 1x1x6 and stuffed in the opening above the headlight also. That actually did more to stop the wind than the pieces I put in above the deflectors.
