Default solo deluxe

I want to remove the passenger pillion and luggage rack to get that clean rear fender look. my question is what do you do about the bolt holes where the rack and p-pad mount? is there a nut under the fender thats gonna fall out if I just plug em ? its a 2007 deluxe, if that matters. thanks for any help.

I used the chrome hole plugs from Harley. Part #762. If you prefer black, Part #761. Just push in the plugs and you're good to go. They remove easy too when you want to put your seat or rack back on. If you look under your pillion seat, (under the seat itself) you should see a similar chrome plug that is stored in a little hole designed to hold it in place until needed. This will fit into the bigger hole that is left when the pillion seat is removed. The two smaller holes that are left when you remove the rack are plugged by part #762(chrome)or #761 (black). The rack in my picture is an aftermarket rack. You can sort of see the plugs in the pictures. Believe it or not, the plugs are cheap! I almost forgot. No, nothing will fall off of your bike when you take off the rack and seat.

Default +1 on the plugs

the plugs are very easy to instal. they cost around $2.00 a piece from harley they are made of plastic and fit perfectly in all three holes. and ver easy to remove. IMO they look better than a fender bib because of a clean fender look and not to mention they are $75.00 less than a bib. i like bibs also but just found a cheaper route. good luck

Have a fender bib on wifes and a low profile rack, but she likes the fender bib.

Used a bib on the wifes Deluxe. Had it custom made for her bike. Cost wasn't bad, and it looks great. And matches the bikes theme..
